LIGHTS! CAMERA! PHOTOSHOOT!

Hello there everyone!

There was excitement in the air here at the Tramway yesterday, when world renowned photographer David Eustace visited Scottish Ballet to shoot a production poster for Romeo and Juliet, which will be performed by the company next spring.

David, who has achieved critical acclaim in the world of photography and is widely recognized for his hauntingly honest portraiture and innovative work in the fashion world, shot Scottish Ballet principal dancers Sophie Martin and Erik Cavallari at our new premises in the Tramway.

It was a really succussful day and an enjoyable shoot. Sophie and Erik looked fantastic despite all of the demanding poses they were holding! They re-created Romeo and Juliet's first passionate night together on a bed draped in cream coloured sheets.

Sophie and Erik wore their Romeo and Juliet costumes and Glasgow based make-up artist Ainslie Currie beautifully enhanced their natural features.

David has worked with Scottish Ballet before, shooting a stunning fashion spread for The Herald using Scottish Ballet dancers as models. David has also shot many famous faces including Sir Paul McCartney, Dame Judy Dench, Sophie Loren, Ewan McGregor, Alec Baldwin and Radiohead to name but a few!

Here are Sophie and Erik relaxing in between shots on yesterday's shoot.

We certainly can't wait to see the final images from the shoot!

Look out for the Romeo and Juliet posters in the coming months!

Bye for now!
